What I’m listening.

The New Messenger 7 has this pretty cool function. Now our friends can know what we’re listening to. Something I find interesting, and allows happening things like the following.

The other day, my friend CyberAnt asked me what song I was listening. It was from one of our favourites bands but he didn’t recognize the song, so I sent it to him. Yes, I send it. I’m not going to make him come from hundreds kilometres, don’t you think? And then he listen the song, and said, “I heard this song before”. If I didn’t have sent it to him, he would never have known. The chances to remember something like that by the time we met again are zero.

But this functionality doesn’t work in my favourite player, WinAmp, unless you install a special plug-in. I have tried several plug-ins available and found that the best, in my opinion, is:

Fully customizable and one of the few (only two I found) that, when it stopped playing, changes back the message to what we had written before.
