The life without technology.
"Living in an Amish paradise"
-Weird Al Yankovic
Every time an electrical appliance fails or there is a power shut down, my neurons start to think how we have achieved such level of technology dependence. It worries me the feeling of impotence I felt the last weekend when the fridge got broken. Here, we have hot weather so if we don’t put the food in the fridge it would get rotten.
Some times funny things happen to me. For example, when the light went off while I was using the computer. It was right in the middle of some chat conversations and, in addition, I was angry because there was a high probability of archive corruption in eMule. Well, I decided to take it easy and do other things. Then I said to myself, I’ll watch some TV. Ouch!! (As Homer would say), it doesn’t work. Well, then I’ll prepare the lunch it’s about time. Errrr, no. It’s an electric kitchen, microwave too, unless you prepare sandwiches or salad, you’re not going to eat. OK, I’ll wait listening some music while I read. Forget about the first thing.
In that moment, you realize that you can’t do anything. Everything you own, right now, is totally useless. I’m going to have to go to the patio to let the sunlight reach me. Noooo!!! I’m a vampire!!! It will kill me!! And in the end you do it unless you have started to put order in your room’s chaos.
